What can I expect when I arrive?Tara Nature Retreat was created to offer all those who arrive a place of peace, calm, and ease, immersed in authentic, wild Umbrian, Nature. Upon arrival, we will give you an orientation tour of the accommodation and facilities, and ensure you have all that you need to thrive during your stay.

What is the minimum stay at Tara Nature Retreat?We suggest you stay for the whole retreat, which is usually 6 nights (exception Easter Retreat). For guest teachers, a minimum stay of 3 nights are necessary to book at Tara Nature Retreat.

When can I arrive at Tara Nature Retreat?On the day of the retreat, arrival is earliest at 3 PM. Departure is at 11 AM on the final day. Alternative arrangements can be made in advance to suit your needs.

I have never done yoga before. Is yoga suitable for me?Yoga is available to all body types, age, and physical fitness. No flexibility required - in fact, the more inflexible you are, the more you have to benefit ;). Many participants have never done yoga or breath work before in our retreats, so this is not a problem. Simply bring an open mind and a willingness to learn.

How many people are part of this retreat?We like to keep our retreats intimate, hence we limit to 15 guests. Guest retreats have up to 20, and also enjoy our glamping tents and nearby B&Bs.

I will be travelling alone, is this retreat suitable for me?YES, in fact, most of our guests arrive alone, so please don't worry about coming alone.

I heard Italy is too hot in the summer. Is this true for Tara Nature Retreat?We are almost 5 deg C cooler than the Italian cities like Rome. We are 400 m above sea level, on a breezy hill, immersed in an oak forest, and have a deep swimming pool to cool off in. In fact, Romans have been coming to the hills of Umbria for decades to cool off from the cities, and also to avoid the crowded beaches.

Can I get to Tara Nature Retreat without a car of my own?YES. We have a detailed description in 'How to Get Here' tab on our webpage. In short, take a bus to Todi from: - Rome Tiburtina - FLIX or Sulga bus to Todi (Pian di Porto) - Rome FCO Airport - Sulga bus, or get to Rome Tiburtina and take a FLIX bus to Todi (Pian di Porto) - Perugia Airport or Train Station - Bus Italia to Todi (P. Consolazione) We can arrange a taxi on your behalf in advance if you notify us a couple of days in advance.

What's included in the cost of Tara Nature Retreat?- Full board - accommodation and all meals. - All workshops and activities according to the retreat. - Sheets, pillows, and duvets. - Towel - personal and another for the pool. - Drinking water, tea, coffee, and fruit snacks. - Access to all the grounds and facilities. - Guided nature hike through the forest to the river, so you can begin to explore wild Umbria on your own.

What's not included in the cost?- Transport to and from Tara Nature Retreat. - Massages and other treatments. - Shop gifts. - Travel and personal insurance.

What do I need to bring to Tara Nature Retreat?We suggest the following items to take along: - a bottle for drinking water or tea - swimming suit and sandals in the summer - sturdy walking shoes to hike through our hilly forests - indoor "house shoes" for your comfort We have all the yoga equipment, and of course you're welcome to bring your favourite yoga mat.

How can I book a massage?Upon arrival, you can book a massage during your check in.

What yoga equipment are available?Yoga mats for indoors, another set for outdoors, blankets, straps, cushions/bolsters, and blocks.

Is there Wi-Fi?Yes, but we suggest you take a break ;).
