Coming Home to Yourself: Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat for Women
For the woman who feels a whisper... a calling for something more.
If you've ever looked in the mirror and wondered where youwent... this is your sign.
This is your invitation to come home.
This retreat isn't about escaping your life. It's about remembering who you are beneath all the roles you play. It's about coming home—not to a place, but to yourself.
This isn't about handstands or twisting into a pretzel. This is about coming into a state of consciousness and awareness.
Join an intimate container of like-minded women in the heart of Umbria, where ancient yogic traditions meet the warmth of Italian earth.

7 Questions with Marleena:
1. “What does Coming Home to Yourself mean to you personally, and why does it feel
important right now?”
Coming Home to Yourself isn’t about becoming a “new” or “different” person. It’s about
uncovering a part of yourself who you’ve never met before. Women living in the western
culture are so consumed by society and play so many different roles. As mothers, sisters,
career roles, etc. We hold the fort down. It wasn’t until I moved to the Eastern sides; to
Thailand and the Philippines, where I realized this.
2. “What inspired you to create a retreat centered around Coming Home to Yourself?”
I was inspired to make this my topic because women aren’t given the opportunity to discover
this deeper level of themselves. We aren’t exposed to the different methodologies and
activities that allow us to do so. Yoga and Ayurveda are very commercialized in Western
cultures. I want to hold a safe space for women to dive deeper into these things, or be
introduced to them for the first time. To feel safe being vulnerable; to cry, scream, laugh. To
know what they aren’t being judged for expressing who they are, and letting that deeper
level come to surface.
3. “What challenges or patterns are you seeing women/people facing right now that this
retreat is designed to support?”
A lot of women are afraid to travel solo and take risks. They're afraid to take that first step,
especially on their own. This retreat is a perfect opportunity to support them in taking that
first step, and connect with other like minded women. Something gets unlocked within us
when we travel solo and feel this sense of freedom. I’ve made life long friendships doing this,
and have learned more than I ever did from a textbook.
I’m bringing all of my teachings from living abroad in Thailand, the Philippines, and India,
and incorporating them into this retreat.
I strongly believe that every woman needs to travel solo at least once in their life. Their world
changes and they learn how capable they are of achieving their dreams.
I find it’s also a challenge for women to set aside time for themselves. Because of all the
roles we hold. This retreat is an escape from their everyday lives. Leaving worries, anxiety,
and any stress. A week of letting go of everything we hold on our shoulders can make a
world of a difference.
4. “Can you walk us through the journey of the Coming Home to Yourself—from arrival to
closing?”
Upon arrival, women will have a chance to settle in and ground themselves. No rush, just
taking it in. Preparing themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually for the journey ahead.
Take a stroll around the venue. The lakes, the greenery, the nature surrounding us. Get
acquainted with your accommodation and your home for the next week.
Arrive at the opening circle, where we will open our container and sink in. Receive clarity and
guidance for the week ahead. Enjoy a comforting tea, and some ice breakers to help you get
to know your fellow sisters.
Enjoy a fresh meal, and great conversation.
After our first sleep at the venue, we begin our first full day!
Wake up, enjoy a tea and piece of fruit.
Start your morning with a breathwork session. Awakening your body. Releasing the stress of
worries of back home and your journey here.
Connect to your breath, your mind, and your body.
After breathwork, we will have our first yoga class!
Wake up your body, release tension, and create some heat.
Our first practice will be Vinyasa based; connecting breath with movement.
After you’ve built up an appetite, it's time for breakfast!
Enjoy a fresh meal, along with coffee or tea. Take time to connect with the other women.
You will have free time after breakfast; choose to take a swim in the pool or lake, go for a
stroll, journal, or take time for reflection.
Join in on our short weather report circle. A time to check in, share anything that has
surfaced, or anything you feel you need to. We will take time to go through journal prompts
and share ideas.
Next, participate in an Ayurvedic workshop. Here, you will be introduced to the world of
Ayurveda, and get a deeper understanding of how your body truly works. Enjoy a tasty lunch with your new sisters. There will be free time after lunch to connect and spend time as you please.
Before dinner, we will slow it down with a Yin yoga practice. Enjoy a relaxing stretch and
unwind. Enjoy dinner. After dinner, we will have a cacao ceremony. Connect and close off our first beautiful day. The following days of the retreat will look like this. Including different workshops and yoga practices.
On our last day, we will enjoy breakfast together.
After breakfast, we will hold our Closing ceremony.
New friendships and memories to take with you.
A time to reflect on our time together before departure.
5. “What do you hope participants will carry home with them after the retreat?”
Participants will leave the retreat feeling refreshed and centered. They will have revealed a
part of themselves for the first time, and can now continue to explore this. Live as this
refreshed woman. Dive deeper into the creativity and opportunity that awaits.
New friendships will be created, and maybe even a second trip planned!
6. “What made Tara Nature Retreat the right home for this experience?”
This venue is surrounded by so nature and warmth. Provided a sanctuary for women to
connect and venture off. Its secluded and away from any hustle and bustle; allowing
participants to have an oasis where they can dive deeper without distraction.
7. “To close, what’s something fun or surprising or deeply human about you that people
might not know?”
Along with being a Yoga Teacher, I also love participating in and hosting ecstatic dances!
Which will be included in this retreat! This is a time to let loose and express yourself. Let the
music guide you and be your full authentic self without any judgement.

If you're looking for a place to rediscover the connection with mother earth and yourself then this is a perfect choice. Caroline and Tim are some of the kindest, most knowledgeable hosts and I would highly recommend visiting them for a retreat. About the Co-Founders

Caroline
Travelling the world, Caroline discovered yoga at 19 and continued with a dedicated personal practice that gave her a sense of stability in all her movement. Recognising the powerful transformation that happens during a retreat, she has spent the past five years hosting her own yoga retreats and immersions in Italy and Bali. As a certified 500hr Elemental Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapist, passionate foodie and holistic health coach she has found her soul work in creating healing retreats, offering one-on-one coaching sessions and writing. She has written two books: This is for You and Nature's Calling. With a new cookbook just out! Growing up in East Africa, Caroline was raised with a deep respect for Mother Nature and has deepened this connection through her travels, way of life and, now, the manifestation of Tara Nature Retreat. Her favorite colour is green, she loves mangoes and singing Disney songs.

Timothy
Timothy's journey to personal transformation began with a wander through India in 2003. This was the pivot point for years of practice in the yogic & buddhist traditions. He has completed over 500hr Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra certified trainings, and is a passionate educator in both yoga and in the natural sciences. Timothy integrates psychology, non-violent communication, and buddhist philosophy into his guidance, coupled with his intuition and sense of personal truth. His wish for all is an improved understanding of our inner experiences and our habitual interactions day to day. Timothy supports guests with building the grit and volition necessary to bring about personal transformation within this lifetime. Timothy's favourite colour is blue, enjoys ecstatic dance, chess, good food, philosophical conversations and his heart warms when guiding singing circles around a campfire.
